Steel bar stiffener

Use the Steel bar stiffener tool to define stiffener properties on steel bar elements used in the design workflow.

When you activate the tool, a tool palette opens.

Main tools

• Define stiffeners by number – create stiffeners using a specified number of stiffeners along the selected member.

• Define stiffeners by distance – create stiffeners using a specified spacing distance.

• Define stiffeners one by one – manually insert single stiffeners graphically one by one.

• Copy stiffeners – copy stiffener definitions from one member and apply them to other members.

Additional function

• Delete the original – when adding new stiffeners, delete existing stiffeners on the selected member.

Settings

• n (stiffener) – numeric field for the number of stiffeners.

• d (distance) – numeric field for stiffener spacing distance.
