Steel design
The Steel design tab contains the tools and settings for the design of steel elements.
Steel design tab uses general design tools and settings, but also contains specific features for steel design.
The general design tools and settings include:
- Design calculations – access to design calculation results and design checks
- Design results display – view the results of design calculations
- Design groups – manage design groups
- Applied quantity – view and manage applied quantities

Steel design specific features include:
- Configure design – configure design settings and parameters
- Design subtype selector – select the subtype of design
- Additional design tools – access additional tools for steel design
- Calculation parameters – set parameters for design calculations
- Auto design – set up and automatically perform steel design
- Manual design – perform manual design and detailing
- Steel joint – design steel joints in a dedicated mode with real-time geometry and calculation feedback
- Check – perform design checks and validations
