Physical extent

The Physical extent dialogue lets you trim or enlarge the visible outline of shell-type elements (plates and walls) without changing the analytical line.
Following tools provide this function:

Simple retaining wall, Foundation slab
Plane plate, Profiled plate, Timber plate
Plane wall, Profiled wall, Timber wall

When you press the Physical extent tool on the palette, a new dialogue window opens.

This dialogue allows you to adjust the visible physical extent of the shell by expanding or shrinking it from its reference line.

Expand - extends the shell outward from its reference line
Shrink - pulls the shell inward from its reference line
Value - numeric field to define how much the shell should be expanded or shrunk
