Check

The Check tool is used to run the deflection check for structural elements and review the results.

Check tool

When you activate this tool, a tool palette opens.

Check tool palette

Main tool
  • Check – run the deflection check using the currently defined deflection settings
Element type

Use the following functions to define which type of structural elements are included in the deflection check:

  • Bars – run the deflection check for bar elements
  • Shells – run the deflection check for shell elements

Only one element type can be checked at a time.

Additional settings
  • Calculation… – select which type of analysis results are used for the deflection check

    • Load combinations – use results from load combinations
    • Load groups – use results from load groups
  • Display table – show or hide the results table for the selected element type

When Display table is enabled, a results table is shown listing the checked elements and their utilisation.

Deflection check results table

The table highlights elements that exceed the defined deflection limits and provides a quick overview of the deflection check status.

info

The deflection check uses the settings defined with Configure deflection check, Bar deflection length and Shell deflection region tools.
