Result point
The Result point tool is used to define specific points in the model where result values can be evaluated and displayed.
When you activate this tool, a tool palette opens.
Main tools
- Define – create new result points using available definition methods
- Properties – view or edit properties of existing result points. Opens the Default settings dialogue for the selected points
- Delete – remove selected result points
- Default settings – open the default settings dialogue for result points (read below in more detail)
Definition methods
When Define is selected, the following methods are available:
- On structural element – place a result point by selecting a structural element in the model
- By numeric value – create a result point at the same location as a selected numeric value currently displayed on screen
Options
- Name – text field used to define an identifier for the result point
- Display result – when enabled, the numeric result value is automatically displayed at the created result point
Default settings
When you press Default settings, a dialogue window opens.
The dialogue contains one option:
- Name – define the default identifier used for newly created result points
