Time history, ground acceleration

Use Time history, ground acceleration to analyse the structural response to ground-induced accelerations over time.

Calculations
  • Level acceleration spectra – enables calculation of the acceleration response spectra

    • ΔT – time step for the spectra
    • T end – end time for the spectra
    • q – behaviour factor
  • Time history calculation – enables full time-domain calculation

    • Save every nth step – save results at every nth time step
    • t end – total duration of the time-history analysis
Integration scheme

Choose the numerical integration method used for the time-domain solution:

  • Newmark – default integration scheme
  • Wilson-Θ – alternative integration method with additional numerical damping
Rayleigh damping matrix
  • α – mass-proportional damping coefficient
  • β – stiffness-proportional damping coefficient
Damping factor
  • ξ – percentage damping used in the response spectra calculation
