Time history, excitation force
Use Time history, excitation force to analyse the structural response to time-dependent external forces.

- Setup… – opens the Time history, excitation force options dialogue
Time history, excitation force – setup
Calculation parameters
- Save every nth step – save results at every nth time step
- t end – total duration of the time-history calculation
Integration scheme
Choose the numerical integration method used for the time-domain solution:
- Newmark – default integration scheme
- Wilson-Θ – alternative integration method with additional numerical damping
Rayleigh damping matrix
- α – mass-proportional damping coefficient
- β – stiffness-proportional damping coefficient
Damping factor
- ξ – percentage damping used in the time-history analysis
