Time history, excitation force

Use Time history, excitation force to analyse the structural response to time-dependent external forces.

Calculation parameters
  • Save every nth step – save results at every nth time step
  • t end – total duration of the time-history calculation
Integration scheme

Choose the numerical integration method used for the time-domain solution:

  • Newmark – default integration scheme
  • Wilson-Θ – alternative integration method with additional numerical damping
Rayleigh damping matrix
  • α – mass-proportional damping coefficient
  • β – stiffness-proportional damping coefficient
Damping factor
  • ξ – percentage damping used in the time-history analysis
