Bedding modulus calculation


Use Bedding modulus calculation to estimate the bedding stiffness for foundation slabs. The result of this calculation will be applied to the stiffness points in foundation slab.

Use the drop-down menu to select the load combination used to evaluate soil–structure interaction during the bedding modulus estimation.

Choose how the mesh is prepared before the calculation:

  • Factory default mesh settings – uses default mesh parameters
  • Actual mesh statuses and settings – uses the current mesh as it appears in the model
Stiffness multiplier for local…

Apply stiffness multipliers to modify the calculated bedding modulus in local directions of the foundation slab:

  • x′ direction – multiplier for local x′ stiffness

  • y′ direction – multiplier for local y′ stiffness

  • arrow button next to numeric fields - click the down arrow next to a numeric field to activate or deactivate the automatic filling function. When active, the next numeric field is automatically filled with the same value you enter. Active arrows are shown with light background; inactive arrows are shown with dark background. The function is active by default
